The gouge is approximately .0525” (1.32mm) thick. The shape is the Jones shape, 0.64” (16.24mm) wide at the tip.

Bassoon Gouged, Shaped, & Profiled
This comes in two different grades and two different profiles in each grade.
We offer the standard Jones Grade, the same grade we use to make our reeds, and a Select Grade.
The primary differences between the grades will be the amount of color on the bark and the selection of the cane. The profile portion on both grades will be free of color.
